Domination: Man finishes B52 Burgers and Brew Mother of All Burgers in Record-Setting Time

For many, their 2017 New Year’s resolutions include eating healthier and exercising more.

For others, they want to accomplish different goals, such as taking on – and dominating – eating contests and food challenges.

The latter happened at B52 Burgers and Brew in Inver Grove Heights on Monday, January 2.

That’s when a patron by the name of Colton downed The Mother Of All Burgers (MOAB) in a B52 Burgers and Brew record-setting time of 20 minutes. So what did Colton have to do to take on and take down the MOAB?

He only had to down a five pound sandwich (yes, five pounds!) that includes four half pound burgers, four eggs, barbecue pork, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, onion tanglers, and bacon. All served on a 15-inch branded French loaf, with french fries. To win, you have to eat all of it, including the fries. On this night, Colton did that, in a dominating performance that earned him…a supremely cool long-sleeve t-shirt, and the pride of knowing that he set the all-time record for fastest time downing the MOAB.

The burger costs $24.99 but is $18.99 on Sundays. B52 Burgers and Brew owner Brandon Bramscher said people order the MOAB a couple of times a day. Many have succeeded. Many have failed. None have completed the process of eating the MOAB as effortlessly as Colton.

“There is no time limit,” said Bramscher. “But this was clearly a record time.”

In addition to the MOAB, B52 Burgers and Brew offers all-you-can eat Buffalo wings on Wednesday nights. Many have tried – and failed – to set the all-time wing eating record at B52 Burgers and Brew. These are among the many different promotional events that regularly take place at B52 Burgers and Brew. Tuesday is free bacon night. Minnesota Wild games are highlighted on the many TVs throughout the restaurant. There are daily and nightly happy hour specials. And the Saturday night steak special is a hot new item, featuring a 14-ounce ribeye from Illetshcko’s Meats. Soon, patrons will be able to sit outside on a rooftop patio, thanks to a new, 100-seat rooftop expansion that was recently approved.

There is a lot going on at B52 Burgers and Brew. On Tuesday, there was a lot going down for Colton, and he dominated the MOAB like no other before him. He now reigns supreme in eating the most imposing burger/sandwich served in the city of Inver Grove Heights. Eaters everywhere are impressed.

Well done Colton, well done (see his picture with shirt and a smile below).
